Drowned In A Murder Of Ravens

Well, I could write a long and detailed match report about this game, but it would probably be more boring than the actual game itself, if possible.

Conditions made attractive football hard. A swirly breeze favouring The Hickey Stand end made the possession game impossible and flooding the order of the day. Adelaide managed 5 goals into the breeze, more than kicking with it infact while all Geelong could manage was three points into it. Somehow this managed to be enough as we scraped over the line by 4 points. This was a fair achievement considering we had to hold on in the last quarter with a minimal lead at 3 quarter time.

I feel we were somewhat outcoached as we took longer to realise a flood was required while Adelaide enforced it as soon as the game also. Also the players took along time to adjust with our skills and decision making at times pathetic.

Enough crap. We won. Hardly thrilling or inspiring stuff. Unco Chambers gave his all as usual with his skills being beyond non-existent and Sando was great first game back with his desperation. Scarlett owns Scott Welsh (try hard KK) and Chris Jericho as he single handedly won us this game with 30 possessions and 14 marks from full back. Ling also looked back at his best collecting 37 possessions.
