Hunt Up Shite Creek Without A Paddle
As stated earlier Josh Hunt has been reported this week for Striking Collingwood's Chris Egan
Hunt was reported by umpire Corin Rowe in the second quarter of last Friday night's loss to Collingwood for striking brash Magpie youngster Chris Egan. Hunt maintains that he only pushed Egan, with this misconstrued by the umpire as a strike.It is believed there is no direct footage of the tangle between the players but the down-the-ground video was being sought to see if it clarified the situation.
So basically it's Hunts word against the umpires, and we all know who wins out in that duel don't we? I'll publish the verdict as soon as it's made known.
If Hunt is innocent as he believes he is, he can thought to be stiff that Channel Nines coverage did not catch the incident. Of course Eddie McGuire quick to knock his competitors at every opportunity has already had a go at Fox Footy earlier in the year for not catching an incident behind play. Will this be brought up on The Footy Show this Thursday? I very much doubt it...
