Google FC Vs. Carlton's Not Quite Right
The Kolonel took a well earnt rest this weekend as he choose to sleep off his hangover & depression from the night before instead of watching the game.
So here's my short & boring report from the game at Skilled Stadium.
We went in well short as usual, our line up included some boys from up north as the club had scouted a few players over the internet. Northern Bullants on the other hand came in with a side that about half of them had played AFL before. This list included Glenn Bowyer, O'Hailpin, Wiggins, David Clarke, Houlihan, Brett Johnson, Andrew Walker, Deluca, Davies, Norman & no doubt a couple I'd missed.
Not surprisingly we are last, they're top...and it eventually showed. After being only 9 points down at half time they did what good sides do and ran away with it in the second half.
Geelong 2.2 6.5 7.7 10.7 (67)
Northern Bullants 4.4 7.8 13.10 17.15 (117)
BEST:
Geelong: Blake Spencer Byrne Trenfield Byrne Walker
Northern Bullants: Bowyer O'Hailpin Wiggins Clarke Houlihan Johnson
GOALS:
Geelong: Haynes 4 Cheep 2 Cook Buckland Thurley Lonergan
Northern Bullants: Houlihan 4 Wiggins 3 Bowyer 3 Walker 2 Deluca 2 Johnson 2 Davies
Impressive performances by players on our senior list was limited to Blakey who was fantastic in the ruck & Spencer who had an alright day. Apart from that it was a pretty bad day....even chant guy didn't bother showing!
