Peter Riccardi: A Tribute
Last Sunday Peter Riccardi once again injured his hamstring and thus has called time on his GFC/AFL career, but let's not remember him for how he went out. Let's think of the trademark Riccardi bursts down the wing, or the classy left foot goals on the run & his early 90's flopping crullet.

Favourite Ricco Memories
On debut doing a one-two with Gazza down the wing in the 2nd quarter, dodging a tackler and composing himself to kick a great goal.
Of course the run down the wing in the dying moments of the 1994 Preliminary Final against North Melbourne.
Kicking a goal against Essendon in 1995 straight after Gazza had done his magic in the pocket only a minute earlier to complete a great comeback win. "Riccardi goes bang and kicks another one!" *cue wobbly arm exhausted Ricco celebration*
A 55-60m torpedo goal against West Coast @ KP (see video link below)
The after the siren goal against Carlton @ the Telstra Dome to avert disaster in 2002.
The dodging & spinning goal against the Western Bulldogs just last year

What I will miss the most is watching his run laps around Kardinia Park at training. No Longer can I yell at him "Speedster!".
Will be interesting to see how strong this makes West Saints if he becomes their coach

im a huge ricco fan aswell, he has given me his boots and jacket and im gonna miss around the club. hope he enjoys life after football
