Cats Play Power Off The Park

Geelong's best half of the season saw them go on the road to AAMI Stadium where they had only won 3 times in 15 years and blow the Power out of the water with a sensational display.
The Cats intensity, run & adaption to the wet conditions was so much better than the home sides that it made the Power look a third rate outfit.
I don't know about you guys, but one of the most enjoyable moments of the match for myself was continually watch Power players panic with the ball, even when they were in the clear just because they expected to be under the pump straight away from a dominant Geelong.
We mustn't have a bad player on the park. Ottens was great in the ruck, Bartel & Corey at the stoppages while Ling & Rooke kept the brothers Burgoyne relatively quiet.
Hearts were in mouths when Mooney appeared to have hurt his ankle or calf at the start of the 2nd quarter but he managed to play on and did well across half forward. The pressure of Varcoe, Stokes & Ablett around the flanks and in the midfield was top rate.
The difference this year so far has been the rebound out of defensive 50 and it was again evident on Sunday night. Wojcinski, Mackie, Tenace, Milburn, Scarlett & Enright running out of backline and setting up opportunities down the field were superb.
We backed off in the 2nd half, whether this was the Power waking up, us dropping off or more likely a combination of both it didn't really matter with a 61 point half time lead.
We weren't as good in the 2nd half, but our kicking for goal 3.12 just magnified that. We could have given them the severe thumping they deserved after the first half but didn't.
No rest for the wicket, one of our favourites in St. Kilda up next. They are struggling but we must be consistent and put in efforts like this week in, week out to be contenders this season.
