A dominant first half in very trying conditions was good enough to see Geelong complete a double over the Western Australian teams in the last fortnight.

Gail conditions made possession football very hard, but this didn't stop neither side from trying which at times resulted in some horrible, horrible football to watch. However nobody could deny that Geelong weren't the best side on the day and deserved their 25 point victory.

James Kelly & Kane Tenace played their best games respectiively for a very long time, a reward for Mark Thompson who at times has played both of them in some pretty ordinary form.

While Steve Johnson showed he is well back in business just 3 weeks after returning from an intra-club suspension by kicking 4 goals.

Scarlett & Egan played very well on Tarrant & Pavlich limiting them and providing some nice rebound out of defence.

Josh Hunt was a late inclusion for Andrew Mackie and managed to contribute and snap a nice goal in the 2nd quarter. Max Rooke returned for his first game of the season and was looking at home until he was forced off the ground with a groin injury.

The Dockers kept fighting and won the last quarter thanks to Peter Bell kicking 3 goals, but in the end the scoreboard flattered a disappointing Dockers side who were missing Paul Haselby due to a back complaint.

Another big test next week as the side travel to Football Park to face the 2nd placed Power who are coming off a loss to the Swans. Should be a cracker of a match. Let's face it, if we want top 4 this season we are going to have to win interstate, what better time than now?
