What do you get when one team plays sensational football from the first bounce and the opposition plays pathetically? Apparently a 157 point flogging.

There isn't much point going into too much detail about this match. It was just an absolute demolition and you'd struggle to find a bad Geelong player on the night.

The only negatives to come out of the match were the injuries to Matthew Egan & Paul Chapman, the latter of which will miss the crucial game on Sunday against West Coast.

I will finish on this note. I am honestly glad we did not break our own record for the highest score in a VFL/AFL match. It would have been great to witness it live, but the team of 1992 was something special, yes they did not win the big one but their brilliant attacking football is something to remember and cherish. The 1992 team had some great players running around in it Ablett, Couch, Hocking as well as the likes of Brownless, Stoneham, Bairstow, Bews & a young rookie called Peter Riccardi. Perhaps Sunday night was an indication that this group can go onto achieve some of the things those players achieved as a group and individually and hopefully a step further...
